Is GivingForKindness really free? 
Yes! Our platform is 100% free to use, and you keep every penny you raise (minus credit card processing fees). GivingForKindness relies on the generosity of tips from donors to operate our service.
How much are the credit card processing fees? 
WePay is one of the gateways that GivingForKindness uses to process credit card donations for your school, which is a certified Level 1, PCI Compliant Service Provider. WePay charges 2.9% plus $0.30/transaction. For 501c3 non-profits, WePay charges 2.2% plus $0.30/transaction for Visa, Mastercard and Discover, and 3.5% plus $0.30/transaction for American Express and International credit cards.
Stripe is another certified Level 1, PCI Compliant Service Provider option for GivingForKindness. Stripe charges 2.9% plus $0.30/transaction. For 501c3 non-profits that request non-profit pricing, Stripe charges 2.2% plus $0.30/transaction for Visa, Mastercard and Discover, and 3.5% for American Express credit cards.
Is the GivingForKindness website secure for credit card processing?
Our site is 100% secure with a valid SSL – SHA certificate from GEO trust Global, with 256-bit encryption. We use secure technology to collect the credit card number on WePay's or Stripe's site, and we do not collect or store credit card numbers on our server. Both WePay and Stripe are certified Level 1 PCI Compliant Service Providers. Quarterly scans are performed by McAfee SECURE, an industry-certified and recognized PCI compliance company for AVS scanning.
How do I register my school for a Giving Back Campaign?

How easy is it for students to register and create a fundraising page?
Go to your school's personal registration link provided to you by your school. Start the registration process by entering your first and last names, an active email address, and a photo (optional). Choose how you want to give back to the community from the suggested list, or add your own ideas of how you can give back to your community. Start campaigning by entering the email addresses of the friends and family to request donations from. Your emails will be sent on the start date of your school's campaign.
Who chooses the ways in which students give back to the community?  
Your students do! We offer a suggested list of ways to give back for each age group that you can customize for your students, but students can also choose to add their own suggestions. 
How many emails are automatically sent to potential sponsors? Is there a limit to the amount of sponsors that participants can email? 
Three emails will be automatically sent to each potential sponsor over the course of the campaign - one on the campaign launch date, another in the middle, and a final one just before the campaign ends. The second and final emails are not sent to donors who have already given.
While we love to see enthusiasm in our GivingForKindness campaigns, we currently limit the amount of email addresses per participant. Students can always send personal emails to more potential sponsors through their private email.
What will students get once they register for the campaign? 
In addition to having individual fundraising pages, students will be able to check off the activities they’ve completed, which will be reflected on their fundraising pages. They can also view the list of people that have sponsored them, add email addresses and additional ways to give back, and update their profile information whenever they wish - including changing their photo. 
In addition, students can view individual and team leaderboards and see how many personal badges - based on campaign milestones - they’ve earned (number of emails sent, amount of activities completed, etc.)!  
How secure are the campaign pages? Can anyone see the participants’ fundraising pages? 
Our students’ privacy is of the utmost importance to us. All registration pages and student fundraising pages are private, and they will not appear on Google or other major search engines. Only people who are sent a direct link to a fundraiser page (i.e. friends and family) will be able to see it. 
When do schools receive the money that was donated? 
WePay and Stripe, the credit card processors, can be set up to transfer your money on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Which payment methods can sponsors use to donate? 
The easiest way to donate is by credit card. All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) will be accepted. However, it is at each school’s discretion whether they want to accept checks or money transfers. 
Uh-oh! I lost the password to my school’s fundraiser - how do I log in to our account? 
No worries! Go to the GivingForKindness login page and click the forgot/reset password link. Enter your account id and user name and we will send you an email with a reset password link. Forgot your account id or user name, email us at support@givingforkindness.com and we can send you that information.
